If you haven't yet seen the (fairly) new software called Artisteer, you will soon, I'm sure. Artisteer will help you to create some awesome looking WordPress Themes.
Obviously, WordPress needs no introduction, it's been hot for a long time now. Not only do casual hobby bloggers use WordPress as their platform of choice, Affiliate Marketers realize the power of being able to create a full-featured, SEO friendly website quickly and easily...plus it's practically free. Of course most people have atleast a shared hosting account using a cpanel interface which includes a simple, automated WordPress installation option via Fantastico, but WordPress itself is free.
Well, the main problem I've always had is finding a theme that was just right for whatever site I was working on. Did I want to pay a lot of money and have a custom theme created ? Well, actually no, I've never paid for a custom theme and I doubt I will ever even consider it now, thanks to Artisteer.
The next option was to purchase a premium theme. There are some very attractive premium themes around, but again, I really don't like the idea of having to buy themes since I'm always adding new sites and that can get expensive really quickly.
The last option (before Artisteer), not including hand coding my own themes from scratch, that was never really an option that I would have considered, was to download free themes. I've downloaded many, many free themes. I've searched and downloaded to the point that I've probably wasted several weeks worth of time.
Some of the free themes are attractive and very functional, but usually the good ones are everywhere and I don't want my sites looking like everyone else's...or even like my others for that matter.
Enter Artisteer - a tool that came along at the right time for me. In all honesty I wish I had found it a little sooner, I would have saved a lot of time. Anyway, I bought it several days ago and this software is great. It's reasonably priced and will have you creating beautiful, full-featured, widget-supporting WordPress themes in minutes.
One of the great things about the software, for me at least, is that there's many base themes (and templates for other platforms) to get you started. I'm not a very creative person, but I usually do have decent taste. I can use Artisteer's idea feature to get me started and I take it from there.
The base version of Artisteer, the Home and Academic Edition is probably all you'll want or need. If you use Joomla, Drupal, ASP.NET or CodeCharge Studio 4 sites, you may opt for the Standard Edition.
You should take the free demo for a test spin if you're needing to develop your own themes or templates quickly and easily. For just the price of a single premium theme or template, you can have the software that will allow you to create as many as your heart desires.
With the time savings alone this software is worth many times more than the cost. Artisteer is the WordPress theme generator of an ever growing number of WordPress users.
